TandPay stands for TrustAndPay. We are Rwanda's trust layer for social commerce. When a buyer pays, the money is locked safely with our licensed payment partner. It is only sent to the seller after the buyer types a 4-digit delivery code on their own phone and the 1-hour inspection window passes without an issue. Neither side can cheat — and both sides are protected.

When a buyer pays, TandPay generates a unique 4-digit code that only the seller can see until delivery. The seller writes this code on the package or tells the rider. When the package arrives, the rider gives the code to the buyer. The buyer enters it on TandPay from their own phone number to confirm physical handover.

If the seller never delivers, you never enter the code, and the money is never released. After 48 hours without delivery confirmation, the transaction expires and the order amount is refunded to your mobile money wallet automatically. You can also contact support@tandpay.com before the 48-hour timeout; support will contact the seller to verify non-delivery and can refund you immediately when the seller has not delivered. (The 2.5% protection fee is retained to cover transaction costs.)

After confirming delivery with the code, you have up to 1 hour to report an issue if the item is wrong, used, or suspicious. Click "Report Issue" and describe the problem. The money stays locked while our team reviews the case and contacts both parties to resolve it fairly. If no issue is reported, the seller is paid after the 1-hour inspection window.

Once the buyer enters the delivery code, the 1-hour inspection window begins. If no issue is reported, payment is released to your MTN MoMo or Airtel Money account minus a 2.5% service fee. Fast and fair.

No. TandPay works entirely through web links. Sellers create payment links and share them on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, or any platform. Buyers click the link, pay with MoMo, and track their order — all in the browser. No app download needed.

Yes. Every payment is collected and held by our licensed payment partner — not by TandPay. The seller cannot receive a single franc until the buyer confirms delivery by typing a 4-digit code from their own phone. If the seller never delivers, the money is returned to the buyer automatically after 48 hours, or support can contact the seller to verify non-delivery and refund immediately before then. About TandPay — Escrow for Social Commerce in Rwanda

TandPay (short for TrustAndPay) is Rwanda's escrow platform built for social commerce. We solve the trust problem when people buy and sell on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook in Rwanda.

When a buyer pays via MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) or Airtel Money, the funds are collected and held by our licensed Payment Service Provider (Pawapay) — the money does not go to TandPay and does not go to the seller yet. Instead, the seller receives a unique 4-digit delivery code. When the package is delivered, the rider gives the code to the buyer. The buyer enters it on TandPay from their own phone to confirm receipt. If no issue is reported during the 1-hour inspection window, the seller is paid via mobile money, minus a 2.5% service fee. The buyer pays a small protection fee at checkout, disclosed transparently on every payment link.
