TandPay stands for TrustAndPay. We are an escrow platform that holds buyer payments via Mobile Money until the seller delivers the item and the buyer confirms receipt using a unique delivery code. We protect both sides of every social commerce transaction.

When a buyer pays, TandPay generates a unique 4-digit code that only the seller can see. The seller writes this code on the package or tells the rider. When the package arrives, the rider gives the code to the buyer. The buyer enters it on TandPay to confirm they received the item. This proves delivery happened.

If the seller never delivers, you never enter the code, and the money is never released. After 7 days without delivery confirmation, the transaction expires and your money is returned to you automatically.

After confirming delivery with the code, you have up to 12 hours to report an issue if the item is wrong, used, or suspicious. Click "Report Issue" and describe the problem. The money stays locked while our team reviews the case and contacts both parties to resolve it fairly. In most transactions, sellers get paid instantly.

About TandPay — Escrow for Social Commerce in Rwanda

TandPay (short for TrustAndPay) is Rwanda's escrow platform built for social commerce. We solve the trust problem when people buy and sell on WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook in Rwanda.

When a buyer pays via MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), TandPay holds the funds in escrow — the money is not sent to the seller. Instead, the seller receives a unique 4-digit delivery code. When the package is delivered, the rider gives the code to the buyer. The buyer enters it on TandPay to confirm receipt. Only then is the seller paid via MoMo, minus a 3% platform fee.

This protects buyers from online shopping scams in Rwanda and gives sellers guaranteed payment with proof of delivery.
